Kitchen Essentials

1. Mixer/Beater: Invest about $15-$20 in one of these. Trust me, your investment will pay for itself; you'll be able to whip up the most amazing things with no effort. 

 

2. Vanilla Extract or Essence: this stuff last for a long time (kinda like makeup).

 


3. Parchment paper: instead of greasing the pan with oil or butter (and eating all those extra calories of fat), use parchment paper. Parchment paper is a non-stick paper that can withstand heat up to 400 degrees. NEVER mistake parchment paper for wax paper. NEVER put wax paper in the oven, it will smoke up and burn.
